Introducing the Flip Flop of Winter

Introducing the Flip Flop of Winter

Oct 19th 2018

Rooted in surf culture, the history of the sheepskin boot is tied to the beach. Initially in the 1960's sheepskin boots were created as utilitarian footwear worn for warmth and comfort. In the 1980's they became a symbol of the relaxed Southern Californian culture, gaining momentum up and down the coasts of California. This season, we introduce what we appropriately dubbed the "flip flop of winter". The BEARPAW boots have inherent similarities to a flip flop:

- No socks necessary

- Easy on and off

- Comfortable with a simple design language

But by no means are these boots simple. Each boot in our collection features Rust-Oleum Never Wet which is a one step, superhydrophobic, durable water repelling treatment that has been designed to keep items dry longer. The crystal clear formula allows fabrics to breathe, while dramatically repelling water from the surface. So you can enjoy the outdoors confident your boots will look good.

Come into select Flip Flop Shops this fall and "warm your toes" with our flip flop of winter and other slippers in the collection. See you soon!
